Getting ready for Doors Open Day
Lots of weeds to clear
Sara, Ceri and Andy who came to help, weeding the rails
Sara painted the wheels for me (photo by Nicky Williams who was up on the roof cleaning the moss off)
Nicky cleaning the moss off
The wheels desparately needed repainting
Mike and Ceri putting the banner up. We also cleaned the car up
Mike painting a wall
Dominic weeding the steps
We did have a break and buns and biscuits were provided to keep us going. Great to do the work in the sunshine.
Peter lent us a tram sign to Hotwells
Bus doing a 3 point turn on open day and avoiding hitting Maggie's Lanchester!
Another 40 off the bus to keep the queue built up
More relaxed on Sunday so the 91 year old grand daughter of Phillip Munro (the architect of the railway and pumproom) came to visit, all the way from Nottingham.
She looked at the clock and medallions which were presented to the Munro family on the day the railway opened in March 1893 and admired the beautiful
architecture of the pumproom. A special day
