Richard Bland, tree wardenDuring the year I have represented CHIS on the Tree Forum and the Parks Forum, and sought to be the Tree Champion for the Clifton and Cabot Neighbourhood Partnership. I have presented a database of over 600 significant landscape trees in the Clifton Conservation Area for the Assessment document, which incorporated details of the importance of “green screens” within the area to which I had drawn attention. A good deal of tree maintenance and replanting has taken place in Clifton during the year, and I believe that there has been, perhaps for the first time for some years, no loss of green space in the past twelve months.
